This model represents an ileostomy, the second most common type of stoma. The end ileostomy is usually located on the right side of the body and shows the small intestine sewn above skin level. This achieves a realistic and practical representation of the anatomical situation as it occurs in ileostomy patients.
The mold is made of a special plastic compound that ensures a secure fit for all common stoma bags. It was specifically developed for educational and training purposes and is ideal for realistic training in stoma care. The model allows for precise size determination using stoma templates, skin cleansing with water, and the correct application of the base plate and stoma bag.
The moulage is fixed in a stable holder but can be removed as needed to allow for different training and demonstration situations. This makes it suitable for use in lessons as well as for practical exercises in small groups or individual training sessions.
