This wound mock-up realistically represents a fresh hematoma and is suitable for the practical simulation of acute injuries in medical education and emergency training. Its color, size, and surface texture are based on typical clinical findings of a freshly formed bruise, allowing for a realistic assessment of the injury mechanism and time of injury. The soft, skin-like material provides an authentic feel and is safe to use.
The moulage is used for training in wound and injury assessment, for deriving nursing care measures, and in emergency and first aid training. It adheres independently to simulated patients or mannequins and can be further secured with special skin adhesive for longer training sessions. This allows for repeatable and realistic training scenarios in hospitals, schools, universities, and training institutions. A storage box is included for safe storage and protected transport.
