The Tegaderm CHG Securement Dressing from 3M/Solventum provides antimicrobial action directly at the insertion site through the use of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) . This antimicrobial effect lasts for up to seven days, effectively reducing the risk of infection. The dressing is ideal for securing IV catheters and protects the insertion site from external aggressors while promoting a moist wound environment.
The fixation bandage consists of a transparent film that makes the puncture site visible , allowing for continuous monitoring without the need for dressing changes. The CHG gel pad on the bandage absorbs excess fluid around the puncture site and promotes skin health while simultaneously keeping out contaminants and germs .
The nonwoven reinforcement provides additional stability and a secure hold of the dressing. Laminated documentation and fixation strips offer even greater protection and enable easy handling and application.
