The sterile S-Monovette® 2 ml ESR/4 NC from Sarstedt was developed for safe and precise blood collection in daily medical practice. The system allows for free choice between aspiration and vacuum techniques, thereby supporting flexible workflows in hospitals, practices, and laboratories. The high transparency of the screw cap facilitates puncture control and contributes to safe sample collection.
Due to the pre-dosed tri-sodium citrate solution, the prescribed mixing ratio of 1:5 is automatically maintained upon complete filling. This supports reliable results when performing erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) tests. The drip-free multiple collection also increases user-friendliness and reduces the risk of contamination during sample changes.
The S-Monovette® is highly versatile and can be combined with multi-adapters for Luer connections or with Multifly® cannulas for blood collection using a winged cannula. This makes the system particularly suitable for professional applications with high demands on hygiene, safety, and process standardization.
