The numbered foot skeleton with tibia and fibula attachments by Erler-Zimmer is an anatomical teaching model for the detailed representation of the bony structures of the human foot, including the distal portions of the tibia and fibula. The model is based on a true-to-life cast and is designed for use in training, teaching, and illustrative demonstrations.
All foot bones are individually modeled and movably mounted on wire. The lower ends of the tibia and fibula are also integrated, allowing for a clear demonstration of the anatomical relationships in the region of the ankle joint. The movable mounting enables the representation of typical joint positions and facilitates the visual examination of the bony connection between the lower leg and foot.
Unlike the unnumbered standard model (Art. 6053), in this version all bones are permanently numbered. This bone numbering allows for the unambiguous identification of individual structures and supports structured use in teaching and practice contexts, for example, when assigning anatomical terms or in exam-like learning situations.
The model is supplied without a stand, making it versatile for use in both classroom settings and independent study. It is intended for medical and anatomical training, including in orthopedics, physiotherapy, podiatry, and sports medicine. The product serves solely to illustrate anatomical structures and movement patterns and is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
