The Erler-Zimmer hand skeleton on nylon is an anatomical teaching model for the detailed illustration of the bony structures of the human hand. The model was designed for the targeted study of individual hand bones and serves to clearly demonstrate anatomical relationships within the hand.
The bones of the hand are loosely, yet anatomically correctly, mounted on a sturdy nylon thread. This method of attachment allows the individual bones to be moved and examined separately without losing their correct position relative to one another. This makes it easy to clearly understand the relationships between the carpal, metacarpal, and phalangeal bones.
The model is suitable for use in anatomy lessons and medical training. Furthermore, it can be used in training contexts in orthopedics, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy to clearly illustrate the bony structure of the hand and its joint connections.
The hand skeleton on nylon serves solely to illustrate anatomical structures and is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications. Use outside of teaching and demonstration purposes is prohibited.
