This ECG training device provides practical instruction in the correct placement of ECG electrodes with up to 15 channels. It is suitable for medical students and healthcare professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of ECG recording and precise electrode positioning. The anatomically accurate model offers visual feedback for verifying correct electrode placement.
The trainer enables users to learn electrode placement on an adult torso, taking into account relevant anatomical landmarks such as the intercostal spaces, midclavicular line, anterior axillary line, midaxillary line, and scapula. Defined placement points are also provided for the four limb leads and the chest leads V1 to V9. The electrodes can be placed on either the left or right side.
The training device does not generate ECG signals. A separate ECG simulator is required to simulate heart rhythms; this is not included and must be connected directly to an ECG monitor.
The scope of delivery includes an adult torso for electrode placement, a 15-channel electronics box, a plug-in power supply, a set of 13 leads for electrode placement, 50 electrodes for practice purposes, two batteries for the electronics box, a storage case for safe and organized storage, and an instruction manual for using the device.
