The hemostatic arm was developed for the practical training of students and medical professionals in the effective management of severe bleeding. The training model allows for realistic practice of key hemorrhage management techniques, including manual compression, the application of vascular pressure points, and the use of tourniquets.
The model is characterized by an extremely realistic appearance and authentic feel, conveying the sensation of a real human arm. This allows learners to be specifically prepared for real emergency situations and to practice controlling and stopping bleeding under realistic conditions.
The hemostatic arm features a severed thumb and lacerations on the forearm from which artificial blood can leak. Both venous and arterial bleeding can be simulated, with adjustable blood flow intensity. This allows for the simulation of various scenarios, from slow bleeding to heavy arterial hemorrhages. The leaking blood is collected in an integrated tray, enabling reuse and supporting sustained training.
Realistically functioning pressure points, replicating anatomical vascular pressure points, are located on the wrist and upper arm. These allow for targeted practice of the correct pressure technique for hemostasis and promote an understanding of appropriate measures for severe injuries. An integrated pump bellows simulates arterial bleeding and expands training possibilities, particularly for emergency medicine.
The hemostatic arm is suitable for structured, intensive training in hemostatic techniques and supports the safe learning of life-saving immediate measures in realistic training scenarios.
