The Lifeguard compressed gauze in non-sterile form is a six-ply cotton gauze bandage in a Z-fold. It was specifically designed for training, practice, and educational purposes and serves to simulate wound care and hemorrhage control measures in emergency medical scenarios.
The bandage, when fully unfolded, is approximately 10 cm wide and 3.75 m long. The Z-fold allows for controlled and gradual unfolding of the material, facilitating realistic training scenarios. The vacuum-sealed packaging reduces the pack size and enables space-saving integration into training sets, IFAKs, teaching materials, or training bags.
The product is non-sterile and expressly not intended for patient care. It is suitable for first aid courses, emergency medical service training and continuing education, military or civilian training scenarios, and medical education courses. Its design allows for repeated demonstrations of bandaging techniques and tamponade applications under training conditions.
The Lifeguard Compressed Gauze (training version) does not meet any requirements for sterile medical devices and is intended solely for training and simulation purposes.
