The Canine Echocardiography Kit is a revolutionary teaching tool that bridges the gap between theoretical anatomy and practical ultrasound diagnostics. The set is based on 15 full-color, 3D-printed heart slices, which are exact replicas of a real plastinated canine heart. Each slice was cut according to standardized echocardiographic planes to make the anatomical views that arise during a cardiac examination on a patient physically tangible one-to-one.
A highlight for clinical simulation is the included 3D-printed ultrasound probe with an integrated laser. With this tool, users can visualize the exact alignment and angle of typical echocardiographic projections on a heart replica mounted on a base. The laser beam precisely indicates which anatomical plane is currently being "imaged" – indispensable feedback for developing spatial imagination.
